Presto Engineering’s proprietary ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit) is driving the development of innovative medical and healthcare solutions for wearable applications, intelligent bandages, point of care, and quick testing.
Offering a unique combination of capabilities like wireless technology, ultra-low power, and seamless sensor integration, we custom-design and license our ASIC to enable smarter medical applications that revolutionize diagnostics and proactive medicine. Our solutions improve the efficiency of patient care by digitizing and accelerating data collection, speeding up and centralizing data analysis, and enabling faster diagnostics and decision making.
Our custom-design small-size ASIC integrates with multiple 3rd party biosensors, enabling smart monitoring, data logging and wireless transmission of encrypted data to mobile phones or other handheld devices. This enables expanding existing application capabilities in areas such as virus control, diabetes monitoring and drug compliance monitoring, thereby improving and accelerating diagnostics.
Another application example may be a skin patch with embedded sensor, which continuously measures parameters and transmits data to a mobile phone for analysis.
Our ASIC technology enables downsizing point of care diagnostic equipment, making it portable, fast, and easy to use so that devices can be taken to patients rather than requiring patient to be next to stationary equipment.
By minimizing portable equipment like pocket ultrasound scanners, ECG monitors, blood pressure monitors, saturation monitors and others, we facilitate local screening, remote testing, and faster diagnosis.
Using built-in data converters and IoT solutions such as NFC/UHF, our miniaturized ASIC enables quick dissemination of acquired data for further analysis and rapid diagnostics. This can be applied to quick tests related to fertility, infectious diseases (e.g. COVID-19), drugs, and alcohol.
The digitalization of screening tests enables faster analysis and response time. Tests can be conducted locally with results transmitted wirelessly for rapid central monitoring and analysis.
